When one walks through the doors at First Love on Main (FLOM), expect to see a welcoming face. The
staff assisting patients upon arrival, serve with a smile. Once the paperwork is completed, a RN will
review medical history and obtain vital signs. After this it’s time to meet the dentist! Dr. Andrew Linkous
is the Regular Staff Dentist that has served FLOM since January 2025. Providing dental care two times a
week, he has eliminated the waiting list for free dental assistance in our community. Recently, I asked
him to share some things about himself. Let’s go a little deeper with Dr. Linkous.
Why did you go into Dentistry?
I originally thought dentistry would be a good way to serve others on mission trips.
Where did you go to school?
University of Tennessee Health Science Center-College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN.
What drives you to serve at FLOM?
First Love on Main gives me an opportunity to help in the community I grew up in to meet physical and
spiritual needs.
How’s it rewarding and why?
I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories. I find it rewarding to help people get out of pain
and into better health.
How did you come to know the Lord?
I thought more seriously about my relationship with Jesus when one of my classmates had a near-death
experience, when I was around 12 years old. My pastor and parents helped me pray to ask Jesus to be
my Savior.
What dental advice would you give?
Stay away from sugar, especially sipping on cokes, sweet tea, and energy drinks. Brush with a soft
toothbrush twice a day, but especially before bedtime.
If you have been a patient at FLOM, you have experienced his calm and professional demeanor
providing care. His heart to help others to better health is easily seen. We at FLOM Dental are thankful
to serve with Dr. Linkous. He is married with two children and lives in Morristown. Come and meet the
“Man with the Plan” as he provides exceptional dental care at an exceptional dental place.
