If one tries to define love, there are many explanations and emotions that one must attempt to describe. It is like trying to understand the complexity of an ocean. There is, however, a guidebook to help understand love. It is called the Holy Bible. As believers in Jesus Christ, the Bible gives us examples, stories and descriptions of what love is really about. From the first book of Genesis to the last book of Revelation, it is a love letter from God.

1 John 4:19 (NIV) says, “We love because He first loved us.”

Our Creator God loves every human being. With a true understanding of His love, we are to love other people and express that love in actions.

At First Love on Main in Morristown, Tennessee, there is a free medical clinic dedicated to the underserved in our community. Its initial objective is to express love to people with a welcome smile from professionals providing medical care and dental services. In our area, a great need exists for his service. A fundamental purpose, as well, is the desire to exemplify this true love of God through word and deed to all the people that enter the clinic.
